Valentines Day Party
February 12th we will celebrate Valentines day together. Full day, 7 hour and 3 hour afternoon students may send in 35 signed Valentines cards. 3 hour morning students may send in 20 signed Valentines cards. Toddlers may send in 22 signed Valentines cards. Please do not address the cards; it is too time-consuming to find the individual boxes. Traditionally we like to make a fruit snack as a healthy alternative to cookies. So this year we would like to make fruit flowers. If you would like to donate some fruit please send it in by Wednesday, February 10th. Thank You!
February is Africa month in the Geography corner. Korbin and his family will be arriving home from Kenya and we are all very excited to hear all about their adventures. If you or someone you know has been to Africa and would like to share items or photos please let one of us know. The Kindergarteners will be “traveling” to Ethiopia to sample the cuisine this month.
“America the Beautiful” Spring Concert
Mark your calendars for our preschool spring concert on Friday, March 3rd. We will have a sign-up for the 5-6 or 6-7 shows. Space is limited so please indicate your preference early. The school will close at 4:00 pm on March 3rd so we can set up for the show. All children need to wear solid blue pants and a PLAIN white shirt! All the 5-year-olds have a “special role” in the concert, please check your Hubbli Kindergarten Group for more information.
Piet Mondrian is our feature artist this month so be looking for squares, and rectangles when you are out and about.
The Spot Light this month is on … Mrs. Tanner
Mrs. Tanner lives in Loveland with her family. She has two dogs named Diesel and Woodrow. She enjoys hanging out with her son Kenneth, her husband Josh and her sister Mrs. Heughins. Her favorite colors are pink and orange. Her favorite vacation was to Reno/ Baton Rouge for Bowling nationals.
We need some volunteers to hit the frame shops for tag board for our Art Show. Please let us know if you are willing to help!
Because of your donations we were able to give:
- 158 lbs of food to the House of Neighborly Service!
- we raised enough to buy 10 beehives and 10 clutches of chicks
Wow! Thank you to everyone for helping us give back!
Speaking of giving back we hope everyone is using our Little Free Library! Thank you to everyone who donated books to launch our Grand Opening!
